About Fit Happy Lauren

Around 2012-13 I was on a really good kick of working out and eating clean. I started a blog and a Facebook page and people were actually reading it.

Then I had a setback. Then I hurt my knee. Then my dad died. And working out & eating clean completely went out the window. In a fit of self-pity one night (while drinking rum and binging on chips) I deleted my blog and left Facebook.

I'm back now. But during my "hiatus" some other girl started using the name I had originally been using. Which is fine, she's quite successful and I'm happy for her. So instead of having that old blog and just changing the name (which I could not do since I deleted it!!), I started a whole new one.

I have spent the last few years alternating between doing it right (eating clean, working out) and doing it wrong (yo-yo/fad dieting, eating like crap, drinking way too much). I definitely notice that I feel much better when I am doing it RIGHT, so I am determined to make this a way of life from now on, not a phase.

I hope that I can inspire you to get off the couch, throw away the sugar and bad carbs, and find some kind of physical activity that YOU enjoy. We are not trying to be supermodels here, but we all deserve to be our best, healthiest, happiest self.
